India has entered the sixth week of its nationwide lockdown. Staying home to flatten the covid-19 curve is a necessity for all of us.

For students, it means attending classes online as the government has advised Universities to remain shut to protect students from Coronavirus till further notice.

Now, the role of online education and learning apps has become critical and students have to adapt to the new academic techniques.

Studying from home means you are closer to your TV room. In this scenario figuring out how to stay focused while studying is a challenge that young and old minds alike will face. Whether the biggest challenge is social media, time management or delay one needs to find ways and techniques to stay focused on the academic task.

However, if we organize our time and set out a certain schedule, we can take full advantage of this time. It is imperative that one keep ones productivity and optimism up. With this in mind, here are a few tips that are sure to enable one to perform much more while studying from home.

Create A Dedicated Study Space

The study space needs to be as private and secluded as possible. Switch off devices that can distract you and family members are not to bother you when you are in your study space. Having a dedicated study space will help focus. Studying on the bed or other areas that are associated with relaxation and entertainment are a strict No-No as the mind is trained to relax in this environment

Plan Your Time

Everyone has a different study schedule. Some learners want to get a head start and start studying early in the morning while others function better later in the day.
Work out a timetable and try to stick to it as far as possible
Keep time in hand for difficulties that may crop up
Schedule 15-minute breaks every hour or hour-and-a-half
